Fantastic raw black metal, fantastic in all its meanings, as it is raw black metal that could arise from Mordor itself, as it seems that our italian band is telling us the tales of JRR Tolkien in their orkish screams. Really raw, and melodic, with a really original atmosphere recreating indeed the fantastic world and especially all its dangers and horrific creatures. Great work, glad I do discover gems from reading other member's reviews, so precious !! (pun intended :)

Philly Vikings set out to deliver a full-length that is really epic, classic HM with NWOTHM and Bathory influences. Occult or phantasy world lyrics, you chose, but it really does immerse me in a LOTR-like world where I imagine a hoard of Huruk Hai head-banging and killing elves for the fun of it.
