Blood rites and sacrifice that makes certain religions big cast long shadows wherein the parts that makes one whole dwell by the same magnitude. This band conveys that wholeness to me in their art. OccultRanger
It seems like this band can do no wrong. Maybe not as immediately memorable as Moongod, but still a top notch slab of melodic death, and "Sun Shield" is their best song yet! Kenstrosity
Aptly titled, this is by far the release by RC that feels the most ritualistic. In addition it's deliciously dark and it is unmistakingly Rotting Christ. I'm bot sure yet if this is better or Kata Ton... Either way one of their best albums. mourner
Australian band Aquilus smashes genre boundaries to smithereens, combining classical orchestration with black metal on this riveting LP. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 13, 2021
If you take Kata ton... and Theogonia and start to wonder how the missing link might sound you'd probably come up with a vision very close to Aealo. Few bands are as consistant as Rotting Christ without standing still. I think that consistancy regarding to progress and the ability to keep a signature sound despite the progression is what makes the great bands really great. mourner
